App & settings
Settings
Appearance and themes, display mode, language, download destination, USB auto-launch, and more.
Open Settings from the Home menu. Here’s what each section does.
Appearance
- Display mode — System default, Light, or Dark. These three are always free.
- App theme — the colour palette. Slate is the free default; Futuristic, Terminal, Nebula, Sunset, and Oceanic are part of BootForge Pro. Locked themes show a small Pro badge; tapping one opens the Pro showcase.
Language
Choose System default, English, Español, Português (Brasil), or Русский. Picking a language switches the whole app immediately; System default follows your phone’s language.
Downloads
Save downloads to sets where in-app downloads go:
- Ask every time — BootForge prompts per download.
- This phone — your device library.
- USB drive — straight to the connected drive.
You can change this any time, and the per-download prompt lets you remember your choice.
USB drive
Open when a drive is connected controls whether Android may offer to open BootForge when you plug in a USB drive. It’s off by default. Turn it on, and the first time you connect a drive tap “Use by default for this USB device” to make it automatic. BootForge can’t force this — Android owns the “use by default” choice — and turning it off stops the prompt entirely. (Tap How this works for the full explanation.)
More
A shortcut into the advanced/diagnostics surfaces — USB details, Ventoy assets, and ISO verification.
BootForge Pro
Shows whether Pro is active, or lets you Unlock Pro (a one-time purchase) and Restore purchase on a new device. See BootForge Pro.
Open-source notices

Developer (debug builds only)
A Simulate Pro toggle appears only in debug builds, used during development to preview the free vs Pro experience. It isn’t present in the version you install from Google Play.
